Doug Johnson

Doug is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Web Developer. He is passionate about the way research and technology are communicated and reducing barriers in how we collect and share information. Doug is currently in his final year of an undergraduate degree in Geography and Computer Science where he has focused on cartography, web and mobile app development, GIS analysis, and mapping with drones. Previously, he enjoyed a career in live events, including production and design for music festivals, trade shows, conferences, theatre, and sports, where he learned to combine visual and mechanical design to engineer complex and unique solutions. At home, he is working on a growing backyard farm where he uses 3D printing to improve the day to day lives of his chickens.
